iOS Developer

SST Software is looking for Developers that can make things happen with iOS development. This position will help create wonderful applications for Apple mobile devices that utilize the services and knowledge of SST in precision agriculture.

Candidate must have the talent to easily switch contexts and know their way around iOS development tools and techniques. Candidate must have the ability to deal with both large concept conversations and minute details of things like a JSON object definition change.

 

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for writing software in a small team, with loose or sometimes strict requirements.
  • Must be able to read and understand short requirements documents and comprehend their meaning.
  • Skills should include a wide range of technological understanding.
  • Strong knowledge of Swift and Objective-C especially in regards to iOS development
  • Understanding of OOD and OOP
  • Strong familiarity with Apple XCode
  • Must have experience working with REST-based webservices.

 

 

Education/Experience

  • 3-5 years experience
  • B.S./B.A. or higher Degree in a Technical Field (CS, MIS or similar)

Database Developer

SST Software provides data collection, management, and reporting tools for Precision Agriculture and manages precision ag data from around the world. In this age of burgeoning population and shrinking resources, what could be more useful and exciting than being part of a team that creates and refines technology that helps to maximize yield, minimize losses and streamlines the farming process? SST’s Database Team is in charge of one of the most critical parts of our system and we are looking for a talented, energetic, and efficient Database Developer to join us.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design databases for new projects
  • Write PL/SQL and PL/pgSQL stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers
  • Troubleshoot, working with our Support staff as well as Developers
  • Tune slow performing queries or database code
  • Generate reports for upper management and sales staff

 

Required Skills

  • Sound knowledge of Oracle technology
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Oracle PL/SQL (Oracle 10 or newer)
  • Advanced knowledge/experience with NoSQL databases
  • Sound knowledge of RDBMS concepts
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Working knowledge in PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL a plus

SST Software has Software Developer positions available in our Stillwater, Tulsa and Oklahoma City, OK locations.

 

We look for Developers that can make things happen, regardless of the platform. This position will help create wonderful applications for backend services, desktop and mobile devices. Systems developed will be both internally and externally facing.

 

Candidate must have the talent to switch contexts and know their way around multiple types of technology with the primary technology being .NET. Ability to deal with both large concept conversations and minute details of XSD schema change difficulties is required.

Web Application Developer

SST Software is looking for an experienced web developer to join the Web team. You will be working with a tight-knit group of engineers and developers building the next generation precision ag products and tools on the web.

Positions are available in our Stillwater, Tulsa, or Oklahoma City locations.

 

What you will be doing

  • Building interfaces and architecture to support our growing product offerings in a new Web-based application
  • Creating map applications to help our customers view and interpret their data
  • Researching and Prototyping new technologies that may improve the performance or add new functionality to our applications
  • Working with developers to optimize our current development workflow
  • Writing readable, maintainable, and performant code.
  • What we will expect from you:
  • The basics: Competency in modern front-end web technologies. You should be very comfortable writing JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Propensity to learn: Web development is continuously evolving. We want to foster an environment of teaching and learning to equip individuals on team with the tools needed to be successful.

Territory Sales Manager, Eastern Cornbelt

Role Purpose:  Represent SST Software as lead sales presence in the Eastern Cornbelt territory.

 

Role Summary: Our TSMs lead the sales process for prospective accounts and regional influencers while maintaining a positive relationship with existing customers. He/she will work closely with an Account Manager to assist with identifying and when needed, closing additional sales opportunities with existing customers.

 

A successful TSM will continually ensure territory growth and profitability by developing solid business relationships with new and existing customers for SST Software. He/she will plan and execute strategies and sales tactics in the following areas, (including but not limited to): territory planning, lead generation, lead evaluation and conversion, relationship development, pricing, presentation and delivery, negotiations, closing and executing contracts.

 

Additionally, he/she will organize and conduct presentations, site visits and product demonstrations to prospects and will represent SST Software in a consistent, effective and professional manner to best develop and win new customers. He/she will need to cultivate ongoing mutually beneficial relationships with consultants and influencers in the Ag Retail channel. It is important that he/she exercises leadership, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and works in a positive and motivating way with internal counterparts and external customers. 

 

This individual will report directly to the Director of Sales for North America.

 

Responsibilities

  • Actively grow SST’s presence through prospective and existing customers
  • Deliver consultative and value based selling focused on positioning SST’s products as an integral part of customer’s agronomy strategy
  • Identify key prospects and contacts within the territory
  • Develop and manage key relationships with prospective and existing customers
  • Educate existing and prospective customers on current and upcoming products
  • Educate existing and new customers on product and platform positioning
  • As an integral member of the national sales team, participate in the development of sales plans, strategies, and tactics
  • Provide feedback about our products, competitor’s products, and competitive landscape to appropriate internal personnel for strategic planning purposes
  • Attend Trade Shows, Conferences and scheduled meetings as required
  • Carry out routine tasks accurately to meet sales goals
  • Special Projects as they arise
  • Abide by all SST policies and procedures

Requirement

  • Sales Executive must live in his/her sales territory
  • Domestic travel is required, with occasional International travel. Seasonably extended hours are necessary.  Candidate must have a clean driving record and ability to perform extensive driving.
