RapidEye has worked with the Innovation Lab at SST Software to develop a one-of-a-kind image delivery solution removing barriers and cutting through the industries common frustrations with in-season imagery acquisition. Access repeatable field level imagery from an efficient ordering platform with previews of variability on available fields, purchase only those considered valuable and download them as useable, agX compliant, data layers. All while avoiding the common headaches associated with the contracts and rigid product packages typically available.
RapidEye is using the Premium Services portal in SST Summit Professional as a global delivery solution for their satellite imagery products. As an ISO-certified geospatial information provider, RapidEye is focused on integrating customized and industry specific solutions into the workflow of global customers in agriculture, forestry, energy, infrastructure, government, security and emergency. RapidEye experts and the technical system – a constellation of five satellites capable of downloading over 4 million km2 of high resolution, multi-spectral imagery per day, and a ground segment for satellite tasking, data processing and archiving – allow for cost effective customized services. The unique combination of large area coverage, targeted over SST Software identified field boundaries, high spatial resolution and the possibility of regular revisit to an area provide for superior management information solutions.
SST Software has authorized RapidEye to deliver its imagery products to FarmRite customers as part of an ongoing effort to further separate SST Summit and the products and services offered through it as the most comprehensive precision agriculture data management and decision support solution for production agriculture. We are convinced our delivery solution will be the premier mechanism for identifying available imagery, previewing its value and purchasing relevant timely data immediately available for analysis and use in decision making processes.
SST Software customers maintaining an active FarmRite account and using SST Summit Professional will have the opportunity to purchase RapidEye imagery products through Premium Services, a feature in SST Summit where business partners offer agX compatible products or services, for any field boundary in their SST Summit’s SyncNow account. The imagery order platform will compare each field in the users SyncNow account against existing RapidEye imagery and provides a list of available images meeting the users criteria with a preview for each. After confirmation of a clear and valuable image users will purchase and download as few or as many images as they wish. Upon download images will be converted and imported as a useful layer of data and billed to the users FarmRite account.
Access to the RapidEye imagery feature is available to customers on SST Summit Professional Using FarmRite and having a current SyncNow account. If you are a current FarmRite customer and would like the RapidEye imagery feature assigned to your account send an email to sst@sstsoftware.com. Place “Requesting RapidEye Imagery” in the subject line and include your name and phone number in the body of the email.
If you are a grower and purchasing in-season imagery is of interest to you, contact your service provider and ask them to contact SST Software at 888.377.5334 to have the RapidEye imagery product assigned to their FarmRite account.
