New Vision Cooperative and SST partnered in the creation of EnVision®, an automated, web-delivered seed placement software. EnVision is a software program module that is accessed through the Summit family of products that recommends the placement of seed hybrids and varieties most compatible with the various soil types. By matching seed/soil characteristics from the NRCS SSURGO Data with seed companies' placement categories, EnVision software generates 24 maps detailing the recommendations.
Once a field boundary is digitized in SST Summit and uploaded to FarmRite, a seed placement recommendation can be ordered for the field. The map book is automatically generated and can be viewed instantly. The maps are color-coded according to a legend that describes the best placement for all the seeds listed in the system.
