Todd L. Pugh - Technology Development Director
Todd has a BS in Agriculture and began working in sales for Farmland Industries. As such he spent 3 years working in Oklahoma and South Dakota. After moving from South Dakota, he took a position in Farmland World Headquarters in the Animal Science Department in a self directed workgroup that managed all aspects of Beef Feed Sales and Programs, and reported directly to the VP of Farmland Feed Division. Todd’s duties included managing the internet marketing and beef software for nutrition balancing. After Farmland Todd joined VantagePoint Network and was Livestock Product Manager. The core duties there were marketing, program and development responsibilities.
When Todd joined SST in 2001 as Technology Development Director, SST began making changes to a more formal development process along the Waterfall method. SST, being a small company, found this process to be too restricting. In 2005 an agile process was implemented called Scrum. Scrum is the process used today by SST and has been very successful. It has enabled SST to be quick moving in the market and facilitated quick response to customer needs. Todd’s duties include managing the technological process through all facets, including evaluation of technologies and processes, hardware implementation, personnel, and direction of basic SST technology.
