The position duties include management of Oracle 11g. Creation, tuning, and backup of oracle schemas including partitioned data. Design and implementation of new and redesigned data structures. Requires thorough knowledge of PL/ SQL to facilitate the creation and management of all structures. Thorough knowledge of Oracle tuning tools and a high level of proficiency in general database tuning. This is a team-based environment so interpersonal skills are paramount.
Preferred:
• 3 years of full time experience as an Oracle DB designer
• Thorough knowledge of PL/ SQL
• Oracle 10g (or above) Database Administration experience
• 6 years significant experience as database designer (any RDBMS)
• Basic knowledge of Windows Operating System
• Bachelors Degree in information technology or related field of study (e.g. MSIS)
• Experience with Oracle Spatial a plus.
