Summit is now compatible with Windows 7 and Windows Vista on both 64-bit and 32-bit computers.
New Management Zone Tool
This new tool is located on the toolbar of the Maps section.
Functions of the management zone tool include:
Naming polygons - users can now name each polygon in a management zone. Yield by management zone report will now use these names.
Entering crop and yield goals - each polygon can be labeled with a crop and yield goal.
Area Measure Tool – A new tool that allows the user to see the area of a split before committing it.
Importing management zone SHP file – Users can now import management zones from a polygon SHP file.
As-Applied Fertilizer Import
John Deere and AgLeader as-applied data can now be imported.
NAIP Imagery Live in Maps Section
NAIP (National Agricultural Imagery Program) imagery can now be streamed live into the Maps section.
In the imagery panel of the maps section, under the Live Imagery tab users can turn this functionality on and off.
Imagery fix for Southern Hemisphere
Modifications were made to properly handle false northing for imported imagery.
Reports Increased in Speed
Both Summit and FarmRite reports have been rewritten to increase both speed and stability.
As-Planted Data included in FarmRite Reports
FarmRite Reports that summarize yield by planting data have been modified to include as-planted data from all supported formats.
As-Planted Reports on Single Page
Planting events containing multiple files are now summarized onto one page when reported.
Soil Test Import Recommendation Format Modified
Recommendations from soil test labs can now be imported containing zero rates.
Structure and Name Changes from SST package
A new checkbox was added to the SST package import stating “Import name and structure changes”. When checked the importing Summit will take any name or structure changes from the incoming file.
This functionality was added to allow two Summits to match names and structure.
Help Files Moved Online
The help button in Summit now links to online help files. Note: When disconnected from the Internet, Summit help files will no longer be available.
Field Labels Added
When at the client and farm levels in the Maps section, users will now have the option of labeling fields. To turn on and off the labels, please right-click on the boundary legend and select the option.
John Deere Planting Export
In the export recommendations section, users will now find the ability to export planting recommendation files to John Deere equipment using EIC.
Speed enhancements to as-applied data import and mapping
SyncNow progress bar now includes a log window at the bottom with a list of data changes.
Quick Links on Summit home page now allow user to add, remove, and sort commonly used items
Tissue Sampling results can be imported via Summit
Nematode Sampling results can be imported via Summit
Field Mgmt./Combine fields tab—A “Filter Fields” button was added that will narrow the Client/Farm/Field list to display only those that can be combined (within 1 mile of neighboring field)
Cost Reports can be broken down by Crop and Season in Report Settings.
Sync of as-app / yield / logged data optional for 24 hours—Users can sync this data or postpone syncing of this data for up to 24 hours.
Allow Summit to import XML data meeting STI 1.1.0 XSD spec
Optional change to shapefile export to update null to "0"—This is available for all recommendation exports that generate a shapefile.
