This application converts shape files to AGCO TIF application files. Please follow the steps below. 1. Extract the ZIP file to a folder on your hard drive. 2. Double-click the file named “ShpToTif.exe” 3. Click the “Field Shape” button to browse to the boundary shape file. 4. Click the “Rec Shape” button to browse to the recommendation shape file. 5. Under “Shape File Type” select either “Grid” or “Polygon”. Grid means that the recommendation is based on a regularly shaped grid, such as a 60ft surface from SSToolbox. Select “Polygon” if the recommendation is made up of large, irregular polygons. It is very important that you make the correct choice on this option. 6. Select “Output Path” to determine the export location for the resulting TIF file. 7. From the “Rate Column” combo box select the DBF column containing the product rate. Below this item you will see a min and max rate of the column. 8. This is to help you determine the units of measure for the rate. 9. Select either “Dry” or “Liquid” from the “Units Class” dropdown. 10. Select the appropriate “Rate Units” for the file. Remember to look at the min and max rate to determine if lbs/ac or Tons/ac. 11. Enter your 6 digit AGCO Dealer ID. 12. From the “Cell Size” dropdown, select the output cell size that you desire. By default the application will match the largest cell size in the original recommendation shape file. 13. Click “Process” and it will create a TIF with the same name as the shape file and will write it to the selected “Output Path”.
